Well the day is here. tomorrow we’ll sign our papers and finally own our very house. yay, sorry I’ve been quiet lately, I’ve been wrapped up in house stuff…and just a little bit lazy about it. I’ll do my best to get back on track soon.
I’ve been helping out with LEGO Kidsfest in Hartford this week. its been a really crazy sort of thing. they had pre-sold 13,300 tickets and its jam packed in there. I’ve been setting up a pizza party for the AFOLs involved tonight so I’m missing the crowds for the moment but I’m about to head back up there.
I hope everyone is well.

so I ate at taco bell last night and I realized something. Over the years I’ve tried every manner of taco/burrito that they could come up with and I find that it still is always the original crunchy and soft tacos that give me the most satisfaction. I mean the other stuff is good, but the original two leave me the happiest at the end. I’m just not going to order the other weird stuff anymore.
So we’re getting ever closer to having a closing date for the new house. Should be in the next couple of weeks, which I think is pretty cool, even though the prospect of packing everything we haven’t yet seems somewhat daunting.
Last week we got to do a couple of fun things as well including getting to go see Star Wars in Concert on Thursday night. it was about a 2 1/2-3 hour drive there (and then back again). We got to Manchester, New Hampshire where it was happening and Megan was having a problem with the shoes she was wearing (they got all broke and what-not) so we had to work fast. at first we had looked for parking and seen a couple of lots charging $10 to park, but we couldn’t stop yet as we had to find a store.
We drove to a mall about 2 miles away and grabbed some new shoes for meg and we also got some sandwiches real quick as we were turbo hungry.
we then got back to the main part of town and all of the lots were either charging $20 or more for parking (which we didn’t have in cash at that point) and the last lot we found closed right as we got to it. somewhat bedraggled, meg and I drove up to turn around and get back to the main road, only to find that right across the street were about 15 metered parking spots that were empty. the best part, meters were free after 530 so we parked for free right across the stree from the full $20 parking lot. hooray.
The concert was excellant and a well performed. Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) was there as the story teller between each piece of music and it was fun. He seems to be a person who genuinely just loves to perform and he seemed to be right at home on that stage. the whole show is great. there’s lasers, fire, smoke, and a giant screen showing movie clips the whole time.
Anyways, then this weekend we just did stuff around the house to prepare for the move. We also watched UP which was really good if you haven’t seen it. the first 5-10 minutes are heart wrenching though and any of you who are married will understand why. I hugged megan a lot at that point.
Anyways, I hope everyone is well
Some of you may wonder where I’ve been…I’m in Texas, attending the wedding of my sister-in-law katie and her new husband David (nice guy) and all of the surrounding activities. Its been a fun event, we have a breakfast we go to this morning.
Its a different place down in Texas. there aren’t trees like there are in the northeast…and espn radio is on FM. ESPN on fm is sweet, except that every time I seem to be enjoying a show it gets interrupted by a cowboys press conference of some sort. Strange, I never thought I’d appreciate Connecticut’s lack of a Pro team so much. now I know that sometimes its better.
