I’ve been flying a lot lately, and I find that unless I’m flying with my wife…everything about airplanes is scary and wrong. There’s no way to get off an airplane without having a crick in your back. The focus of my rage would be the shared arm rest between you and the person next to you…or god forbid the people on either side of you.
This ends up being a point of battle between you and your seatmates because you can either assert yourself and take the arm rests, or you can be a reasonable person with a soul and share them. Sharing them inevitably means that you’re going to be pushing at least one of your shoulders forward the whole time, or just leaning forward and straing your whole back. technically, I would prefer leaning forward, simply because then your not having an imbalance of pain.
Either way, I guess my point is that airplanes are annoying and I can’t wait till someone figures out teleportation.

One of my favorite things that I’ve seen happen recently is people photoshoping my ugly mug in outlandish situations. the one above of me skiing WELL is probably the most improbable of the lot and thusly the most outlandish. It would win a prize if I were already doing a contest at the time. Too bad Collin!
Anyways, I’m going to provide 3 pictures that you guys can use to create pictuers of “Steve” in crazy situations. These 3 to be exact:

You have until Monday to submit your entries. do it as a comment on this post. Remember this is about making cool awesomeness. If you make sexual or bad taste pictures, not only will you be disqualified but you are a dumbass and all of your friends will laugh at you.
The prize though! That’s the important part. I have just a whole bunch of brick in my office that needs a home. Its from the models that I’ve built over the course of the last couple of years. I have to tear down models to replace with new ones as I build more. There could be anything in these boxes. If you are selected as teh winner you will get a grab box (probably 10″x10″x10″) of parts. Remember I only really build system so this won’t be technic or BIONICLE for the most part (some sneak in sometimes). If some really cool stuff pops up then we’ll consider more prizes, but for now only one grand prize of free brick.
“But Steve,” you ask annoyingly,”isn’t this just a bit nihilistic of you?”
“Why yes,” I reply, “and stop using big words to try and sound smart…no one’s buying it.”
Anyways, click on the pictures for bigger versions and have some fun at my expense…I mean making me look awesome (I have a feeling this is going to go badly).

I got bummed today when I realized that one of my goals is to have my name pop up in wikipedia with an actual relevant entry. Is that dopey or what. I was happy that like the 4th entry on google for the “Steve Witt is Awesome” group on Flickr. Its just pictures of me looking like a caveman. I won’t link to it from here because I’d rather you went to google and saw it for yourself. I’m not even entirely sure who Brickopolis is who started the group. Its probably someone I know well and just haven’t linked online handles together. If you’re Brickopolis chime in here and be recognized!!!
Anyways, it was a good week. I got a lot done today, I talked with Mike Ripley who is organizing the upcoming ILTCO presence for NMRA this year. If you’re a train head and can reasonably get to hartford for this event you should really get in touch with Mike becuase its going to be a fun event. Its even right by LEGO so I’m going to be doing some fun jazz and what not
Have a great weekend everyone!

I finally got my hands on the 7636 Combine Harvestor. Soooo cool. Its a whole lot of brick for the money. The only issue I had with it was that some of the tubes weren’t quite long enough and I couldn’t get them to go all the way across. That was alright though. they should be threshing cows and terrorizing villagers well enough this way.
Anyways, This has been another week of meetings but good none-the-less. Jamie Berard was in town and gave some seminars on proper building techniques. Its fun building sets with that stuff fresh in your mind, it makes you really appreciate the LEGO System and how the pieces work together in harmony (for the most part anyways). Technic bricks and system snot bricks don’t line up…I never knew that. I even saw a slide with the proper ways for technic gears to work together…that was the most interesting piece of information I’ll never use.
Mike Crowley came by the office for some official Ambassador meetings today and we’ve been talking about official Ambassador meeting stuff, or just sets we like, which I think works still.
Hope everyone is well
