I’ve been putting off checking out Twitter for fear that I might actually like it, but as far as researching how online communications work I’ve been remiss in avoiding it. If you want to follow me on Twitter please do. my Twitter page is:

Also for your visual edification here is a swell picture someone showed me on Flickr.  I believe it was produced by Matt DeLanoy:

Steve as a minifig

People think that I look like this guy for some reason. He comes with the Agents Robo Attack set, which I thought I owned a copy of but I think I just sent it to Seattle for BrickCon. So whoever wins it in a few weeks just know…that was mine first and I gave it to you.

anyways, I get to go look at houses tonight. Here’s hoping for a big LEGO basement, I’ve gotten to the point where my LEGO room is so crammed I don’t like building that often. at least its not hot anymore though.

well my off the wall calendar is starting to dwindle in pages. I have the World of Warcraft ‘Year of Fear’ calendar. it documents bosses from all of the game in scary ways. anyways though, it seems that the year is getting away from me as I feel this actual calendar is over half gone.

Since I have no concept of time really thats all I’ve got to go on at this point. How much of the calendar is left. Anyways, I’m still getting ready for BrickCon which happens in just a couple of weeks. Bring your NERF guns my friends…and your LEGO models too I guess.

holiday weeks always throw me off becuase it throws new comic book day back a day. this essentially ruins my week and I’ll tell you why. wednesday is always that day in the middle where everyone is desperate for a reprieve and I’ve become accustomed to Wednesday now included a fantastic moment in the form of new comics. this week not so much, but at least thursday has now been fantastic.

I got some sweet statues from a friend of mine at DC comics which made me all giddy. he sent me the Adam Hughes Zatanna and Black Canary statues which made me super psyched. I’ll post a pict sometime.

anyways hope everyone is well.

Life’s been busy lately. I’m actually very fortunate that there’s about a month break between Brickfair and BrickCon because I was getting wicked tired.

Jim was in the office this last week and we got some good preliminary stuff put together for the rest of the year and into next year.

After Brickcon there’s LEGO Kidsfest here in Hartford. Right now there’ll be some great participation from PennLUG and NELUG. Sounds like I need to throw another pizza party.

The best part about throwing pizza parties on the LEGO campus is that I get to order from my favorite pizza place, which also happens to be a place I can’t get at home. Its called Fazzio’s and its in East Long Meadow Mass. yummy, I would move to East Long Meadow just so I could get pizza from that place more frequently.

anyways, meg and I are off to Rhode Island this weekend to take a look around. we’ll of course have to stop by the Mystic aquarium to visit the sea lions and balooga whales (GLEE!).

well I finally broke down after 3 years living in Connecticut and decided to get my CT drivers license. the weird thing is that the picture is actually pretty good, which is an oddity if I’m to understand correctly.

I’ll be in California starting tomorrow and through next week, but I’ll try to get on and blog and post pictures if I can. I hope everyone is well :)

Hey hey everyone.  If  you haven’t walked away from my blog completely (since I’ve not been around to post lately) I have a couple of things to catch up on.

Brickworld was a whole lot of fun.  there were about 600 attendees this time which is the biggest I’ve ever seen at a US event.  The best thing about it is that most of them actually brought a model with them.  There was so much to see this time around and I challeng other events to play catch up on the amount of material attendees bring (its up to all of us).

I even brought a MOC this time around.  I’ll see if I can find a picture of it sometime.

I ended up being the keynote speaker as well which was fun.  I enjoy talking to large groups of people, its actually less stressful than smaller one’s ironically because you can appeal to a much wider range of senses of humor with a huge group.  People seemed to enjoy it though which is all I could really hope for.

As I suspected, the trip has destroyed any semblence of a diet that I might have been attempting.  I ate at Chipotle at least once a day and consumed my fair share of f Mr. Pibb (the poor man’s Dr. Pepper).  Mr Pibb and Dr Pepper are not the same thing, no matter what your waiter/waitress may try to tell you at any given resteraunt.  I enjoy both, but it must be acknowledged that Pibb is sweeter than DP and that is the fundamental difference.

Finally, Michael Jackson passed away yesterday which is a sad day.  He was one of the prime examples of why money doesn’t buy happiness and I’ve always felt badly for him for that, but man could the dude sing.

Pete, Erik and I watched Youtube videos at lunch today to commemorate his passing.  I’d never seen Captain Eo, which is the 3D video that played at disney world in the 80’s.  If you go look it up its actually shocking how much Star Trek ripped off from this video especially regarding the Borg.  Go check it out and you’ll see what I mean.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

some of you may be aware of my current diet initiative.  I do a work out class at the office two times a week and I’m attempting to give up Dr. Pepper.  I’m doing ok on both, I no longer feel like my legs are going to fall off from misuse.  I’ve only given up DP for like a week, and meg sort of brought me one the other night so I drank it because she can do no wrong, so the DP must be right.  I have however stopped drinking the 20 oz bottle at lunch every day and occasionally sucking down a 12 pack in 2 days or less.  any progress is progress really, and I still plan on having one every once and a while…I guess you can say I’m a social DP drinker now instead of a DPaholic…I can quit whenever I want…

anyways, I tried the nicotene gum of Dr Pepper today which the company cleverly calls Diet Dr Pepper.  they claim that it tastes more like Regular Dr Pepper.  What I’ve come to understand is that that only means that it tastes slightly less like crap than it did before.

I mean, I live way closer to London now that I live in Connecticut instead of Texas, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still have to cross the Atlantic Ocean.  Saying Diet Dr Pepper is anything like Regular Dr Pepper is the same as saying coke and pepsi are the same thing.  They’re just not…well maybe they kind of are…they’re both crap.

Anyways, you have betrayed me diet Dr Pepper and I won’t stand for your lies any longer.

I just realized I hadn’t posted here in quite a while. I’ve been working on getting ready to launch a new cycle of Ambassadors. The nomination process will be starting soon and its taken a bunch of my time getting that ready. plus I was out sick on friday (blech). The worst thing about being sick is that you sleep a lot more at random times and your body doesn’t know what time it is. Last night I couldn’t fall asleep till like 4am, which makes it hard on the waking up at 8 thing.

Anyways, Brickworld is coming up soon so I’m busy mailing stuff out and getting ready for that. There’s around 550 people registered for that event, so I’m certain a few of you who read this blog might be there. Come say hi and please don’t be offended if I don’t remember exactly where we met before. I try my best but I can’t always keep up. Anyways, I’ll post again tomorrow :)

I’ve been flying a lot lately, and I find that unless I’m flying with my wife…everything about airplanes is scary and wrong. There’s no way to get off an airplane without having a crick in your back. The focus of my rage would be the shared arm rest between you and the person next to you…or god forbid the people on either side of you.

This ends up being a point of battle between you and your seatmates because you can either assert yourself and take the arm rests, or you can be a reasonable person with a soul and share them. Sharing them inevitably means that you’re going to be pushing at least one of your shoulders forward the whole time, or just leaning forward and straing your whole back. technically, I would prefer leaning forward, simply because then your not having an imbalance of pain.

Either way, I guess my point is that airplanes are annoying and I can’t wait till someone figures out teleportation.
